Senior Financial Advisor

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Financial Advisor to join our Finance Department at Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in delivering the Board's Continuing Health Care priorities and providing financial support and advice to our stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities- Provide high-quality financial advice and support to Finance & Operational leads, ensuring sound financial management reporting within the Health Board.
- Responsible for setting, maintaining, and monitoring budgets allocated to Divisions and CHC Operational Teams (circa £60m pa).
- Contribute to the completion of monthly Welsh Government monitoring returns, annual accounts, and provide expert advice and financial forecasting analysis to Senior Finance colleagues.
- Manage the two CHC Finance Teams (Payments & Management Accounts), ensuring effective management to meet reporting, payment, and query resolution deadlines.
- Be a qualified accountant (CCAB) or actively studying towards a relevant qualification.
- Have experience in managing a Finance Team and a strong understanding of financial management systems and performance analysis tools.
- Be able to communicate effectively in writing, through numeric and statistical presentation, and verbally.
- Have excellent IT skills and knowledge, including advanced spreadsheet and database designing skills.
