Salary Package

We offer a competitive salary package to our team members, with an annual salary of £33,280 (including 2 sleep shifts per week) or £14.00 per hour. This is a fantastic opportunity to secure your financial future while making a difference in the lives of our young residents.

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Lead Care Manager to join our team at our Canterbury home. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for supervising a team of support staff to ensure that our young residents receive a high-quality, person-centered care service.

Key Responsibilities

  • To lead, supervise, and assess the practice of support workers to ensure high-quality care delivery.
  • To provide direct care and support to young people as required.
  • To manage and take responsibility for staff performance, training, and support.
  • To communicate clearly and effectively with colleagues and children, verbally and in writing.
  • To work in line with young people's care plans and health plans.
  • To motivate, aid, and guide children in their self-development.
  • To set examples for children at all times.
  • To listen and respond responsibly with sensitivity.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • A minimum of two years' experience working in a children's home.
  • Hold or be willing to achieve a Diploma Level 3 in Health and Social Care with Children and Young People.
  • Ability to work early, late, and night shifts (including sleepovers) on a rota basis.
  • Age 21 or over (Employer has claimed an exemption under the Equality Act 2010).
