At Turning Point, we are committed to supporting people with learning disabilities across England. Our goal is to improve their daily living skills and promote their independence.

We offer a 24-hour supported living facility in Birchington, providing support for adults with learning disabilities. We tailor our support to enable individuals to be as independent as possible.

Our team of Support Workers work closely with each individual, based on shared preferences and personalities, to create a bespoke core team of staff. This approach allows us to provide personalized support that meets the unique needs of each person.

The role of a Support Worker at Turning Point involves assisting individuals with various aspects of daily life, including:

  • Supporting individuals to develop their life skills and personal interests
  • Assisting with personal care needs
  • Manual handling
  • Supporting individuals with medication

We are seeking a passionate and caring individual to join our team as a Support Specialist. You will have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of the people we support, while also developing your own skills and career.

This is a hands-on role that requires flexibility and patience. As a Support Specialist, you will work a range of shifts, including nights and some weekends, to ensure that we can provide 24-hour support to the individuals we care for.

The estimated salary for this role is £25,383 per annum, based on a 37-hour working week. Your annual leave entitlement will accrue as you work, to the equivalent of 29 days a year.
