Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled Sales and Solutions Engineering Manager to lead our technical solutions program. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of delivering sophisticated solutions and engineering experience, with a strong understanding of wholesale data centers, colocation, interconnection, cloud, managed solutions, and professional services.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and execute a technical solutions program that meets the needs of our hyperscale cloud and AI customers.
- Support the sales team in all aspects of project delivery, including presales, contract negotiation, and client technical conversations.
- Act as the technical single point of contact for clients, driving and managing client requirements and ensuring they align with our business objectives.
- Collaborate with other departments to create business case analyses and provide accurate sales forecasting.
- Maintain a current understanding of our build schedule across EMEA and collaborate with the New Site Development Department and Delivery Team.
- Demonstrate a proactive approach to solutions engineering, building and growing the role to meet the needs of VDC and its customers.
- Drive opportunities by supporting sales teams in designing, positioning, and proving technology solutions.
- Articulate and conduct in-depth product feature benefit discussions related to our data center offerings.
- Engage in detailed network, power, cooling, and space assessments of customers' current and proposed IT environments.
- Prepare and deliver technical proposals, design architectural overviews, and assist with guided tours of our facilities for existing and potential customers.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Environmental, Structural Engineering, Architecture, or equivalent work experience.
- Significant experience in data center infrastructure solution sales, marketing, and management.
