Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Environmental Services Estimator to join our team at Adler and Allan Group. As an Environmental Services Estimator, you will play a critical role in managing opportunities within our Environmental Services division, working closely with our clients to provide top-tier environmental, energy, and water infrastructure services across the UK.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Opportunity Management:
    • Pricing and quoting job opportunities based on information from our client services team, area account managers, regional account managers, site operative teams, and technical service managers.
    • Managing the sales reporting process within our CRM system from initial opportunity to close (win or lose).
  • Quotations and Proposals:
    • Working on quotations, proposals, and minor tenders.
    • Conducting site visits with our Specialist Engineering team to gather site asset data using pre-provided audit documentation.
  • Technical Expertise:
    • Having a thorough understanding of industrial services, including industrial cleaning, tank cleaning, high-pressure water jetting, handling hazardous materials, and decommissioning/demolition of redundant assets/infrastructure.
    • Possessing excellent analytical skills.
  • Collaboration:
    • Working with our depot network management team to expedite quotation submissions, ensuring a higher conversion ratio.
    • Communicating with our commercial team about timelines, progress, and challenges to manage client expectations and provide a seamless customer experience.

Requirements:

  • Technical and Industry Knowledge:
    • Good technical and industry knowledge of environmental/industrial services with experience including Confined Space working, Water jetting, Handling of Hazardous Materials, Oil & Gas & Water industry knowledge.
  • Computer Literacy:
    • Fully computer literate with working knowledge of Word, Excel, Projects, and Email; must be able to prepare and present reports using such applications.
  • Health and Safety:
    • Understanding and knowledge of health and safety at work; promote compliant and best practice in line with relative legislation. Possessing IOSH or NEBOSH qualifications would be advantageous.
  • Communication Skills:
    • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and written, with internal and external clients at all levels.
  • Commercial Awareness:
    • Demonstrate keen commercial awareness and develop new business with clients at any opportunity.
  • Initiative and Engineering Mindset:
    • Possess a strong initiative and engineering mindset to develop solutions to customer problems & requirements.
