Job Title: Children's Home Registered Manager

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Children's Home Registered Manager to join our team at Apple Orchard, Bramley. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of care and support for our young people.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of managing a residential childcare setting, with a strong focus on delivering high-quality care and achieving outstanding outcomes for our young people. You will be responsible for leading a team of staff, ensuring that they are equipped to provide the best possible care and support to our residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a team of staff to deliver high-quality care and support to our young people.
  • Ensure that the home is run in accordance with the Quality Care Standards for Children's Homes.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure the safety and well-being of our young people and staff.
  • Manage the home's budget and resources to ensure that we are providing the best possible care and support to our residents.
  • Work closely with other agencies and professionals to ensure that our young people receive the best possible support and care.
  • Ensure that our young people are able to participate in decision-making and planning, and that their voices are heard.
  • Manage and maintain accurate records and reports, including incident reports and staff supervision records.
  • Ensure that our home is a safe and welcoming environment for our young people and staff.
Requirements
  • At least 3 years' experience in a residential childcare setting at a senior level.
  • Knowledge and experience of implementing the Quality Care Standards for Children's Homes.
  • Experience of carrying out administrative duties such as filing, recording, rota preparation, and report writing for Children's Homes.
  • Professional qualification at Level 4/5 'Working with Children and Young People' (or equivalent).
  • A willingness and desire to pursue further training.
  • Up-to-date Safeguarding and/or Recruitment Training.
  • Ability to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends, and to be on-call as required.
