Midwifery Ward Lead

The trust is looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic midwife to manage the antenatal and postnatal ward with 21 beds and a 5-bedded maternity triage area. The ideal candidate will have a keen interest in all aspects of maternity care and will be able to work effectively with women and their families.

Responsibilities
- Manage the antenatal and postnatal ward with 21 beds and a 5-bedded maternity triage area.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure the provision of high-quality maternity services.
- Work effectively with women and their families to ensure their needs are met.
- Lead a team of midwives and other healthcare professionals to provide maternity care.
- Work closely with the trust's education and training team to ensure that staff have the necessary skills and knowledge to provide high-quality maternity services.
Requirements
- Registered midwife with a degree in midwifery or evidence of recent relevant CPD at degree level.
- Post-registration development in midwifery.
- Teaching or facilitation qualification or experience.
- Management qualification.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
- First degree or working towards.
- Previous management experience or management qualification.
