About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned professional to fill the position of Account Director at Inventive Search. This role is pivotal in managing and expanding key client relationships within the UK market, with a focus on providing innovative solutions in cloud, networking, and security.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Client Relationship Management: Build, maintain, and expand strong, long-term relationships with key clients, understanding their needs, challenges, and strategic goals.
  • Solution Selling: Lead the development and delivery of comprehensive IT solutions across cloud, networking, security, and related technologies. Collaborate with internal teams to tailor offerings to client requirements.
  • Revenue Growth: Drive revenue growth through upselling, cross-selling, and identifying new business opportunities within existing accounts.
  • Strategic Account Planning: Develop and execute strategic account plans to maximize value, ensure customer satisfaction, and deliver on KPIs.
  • Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary point of contact between the client and the organization, ensuring clear communication, alignment of expectations, and successful delivery of solutions.
  • Forecasting & Reporting: Provide accurate sales forecasts, report on account performance, and track client engagement metrics to senior management.
  • Industry Knowledge: Stay current with industry trends, market shifts, and emerging technologies in cloud, networking, and security to provide clients with innovative and competitive solutions.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with delivery, technical, and pre-sales teams to ensure seamless execution of services and projects for the client.

Requirements:

  • Proven track record as an Account Director or in a similar senior account management role within the technology or IT services industry, preferably in a global systems integrator or managed services environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of cloud services (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud), networking, and security solutions. Familiarity with other IT services, including infrastructure and data center technologies, is a plus.
  • Strong client-facing skills with the ability to understand business challenges and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Demonstrable experience in sales management, with a proven ability to achieve and exceed revenue targets.
  • Ability to develop strategic account plans and execute them to drive growth and client satisfaction.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present confidently to senior stakeholders and clients.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams, both locally and internationally.
  • Proactive problem solver with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to travel as required to meet with clients and attend internal and external meetings.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Degree in Business, IT, or related field.
  • Certifications in cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) or networking/security certifications (Cisco, CompTIA, etc.) are highly desirable.
  • Experience working in global or multinational environments is a plus.
