Job Summary:


Sanза Teaching Agency is recruiting on behalf of a vibrant, diverse, and friendly primary school in Islington, seeking a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support to a Year 5 pupil with Autism.


Key Responsibilities:



  • Provide 1:1 support for a child with Autism, helping them access the curriculum and thrive in the classroom environment.
  • Implement the child's Individual Education Plan (IEP) and tailor your approach to meet their specific learning needs.
  • Support the child with social, emotional, and behavioural development, using strategies to foster positive engagement.
  • Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to monitor the child's progress and adapt strategies as needed.
  • Create a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment to encourage independence and confidence in the pupil.
  • Engage with parents, carers, and external professionals to ensure the child's well-being and holistic development.

Requirements:


The ideal candidate will have experience working 1:1 with children with Autism and a passion for creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
