Supporting a Child with Autism as a SEN Teaching Assistant

Job Overview:
We are looking for a dedicated and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at a one-form entry primary school in Maida Vale, London. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children with SEND, particularly those with Autism.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support a child in KS2 with Autism, focusing on emotional needs
- Work collaboratively with the class teacher and SENCO to develop strategies for supporting the child's learning and behaviour
- Establish a strong, positive relationship with the child, promoting a sense of safety and well-being
Requirements:
- Experience working as a SEN Teaching Assistant, supporting children with SEND in a school setting
- Knowledge of strategies for supporting children with Autism and challenging behaviour
- Able to work effectively with the class teacher, SENCO, and other staff members to provide a supportive and inclusive environment
Salary and Benefits:
