Job Summary

The Financial Conduct Authority is seeking a skilled Public Affairs Associate to join its Communications division. As a key member of the team, you will play a crucial role in building and maintaining relationships with Parliament and other stakeholders, ensuring the FCA's reputation is managed effectively.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain relationships with Parliamentarians, policymakers, and other stakeholders to ensure the FCA's interests are represented.
  • Provide strategic advice to senior FCA staff on public affairs and policy matters.
  • Conduct research and analysis on political developments and their impact on the FCA's work.
  • Develop and implement effective communication strategies to engage with stakeholders and promote the FCA's work.
  • Collaborate with other teams within the FCA to ensure a cohesive approach to public affairs and policy.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in public affairs, government relations, or a related field.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to provide strategic advice.
  • Knowledge of the UK political landscape and parliamentary procedure.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
