About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to join our team as a Policy and Public Affairs Manager. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing, influencing, and delivering our policy and public affairs strategy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement policy and public affairs strategies to promote the interests of the Royal College of Psychiatrists in Scotland.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including government officials, politicians, and other influencers.
  • Conduct research and analysis to inform policy development and public affairs activities.
  • Develop and deliver policy briefings, reports, and other materials to support our advocacy efforts.
  • Work closely with our National Manager, College Officers, Leads, and committees to ensure effective implementation of our policy and public affairs strategy.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in policy and public affairs, with a strong track record of developing and implementing effective strategies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Strong research and analysis skills, with the ability to conduct in-depth research and analysis to inform policy development and public affairs activities.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, with a strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Passion for promoting the interests of the Royal College of Psychiatrists in Scotland, and a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
