About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled AI Engineer to join our team at esure, a leading player in the insurance industry. As a key member of our data science team, you will play a crucial role in elevating our customer experience by leveraging NLP, large language models, and seamless integration with third-party GenAI services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with business partners to identify use cases where GenAI can deliver measurable benefits.
  • Work with the data science team to deploy scalable AI applications across the organization.
  • Collaborate with a diverse team to operationalize AI services on AWS.
  • Enhance our tech stack, including MLOps, CI/CD pipelines, UI, and AI Python libraries.
  • Create prompts, fine-tune models, and monitor outcomes.
  • Evaluate third-party GenAI and LLM technologies for cost-benefit analysis.
  • Lead projects from conceptualization and R&D to production implementation and benefit assessment.
  • Adhere to and contribute to standards for code quality, R&D, and model development.
  • Optimize data for enhanced AI application performance.
  • Advise colleagues and senior management on business and customer implications.
  • Develop high-quality Python code for production, utilizing CI/CD, Databricks, and ensuring adequate test coverage; proficiency in SQL.
  • Engage with external partners and stay up-to-date with industry advancements and regulations.
  • Collaborate with data governance and data management teams on data requirements.
Requirements
  • PhD or MSc experience in a quantitative field: Machine Learning, Computer Science, Statistics, or equivalent.
  • Demonstrable experience in implementing, researching, and developing advanced NLP models, prompt engineering, and fine-tuning LLMs for business value.
  • Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively to deliver projects punctually, from project briefs to robust results.
  • Proficient in Python data science stack, pandas, scikit-learn, Jupyter, and version control, Git.
  • Familiarity with LLMOps, model monitoring principles, CI/CD, and related technologies, Docker, MLflow, k8s, FastAPI.
  • Knowledge of Langchain, huggingface, and LLM offerings by third-party vendors.
  • Understanding of OO programming and software design, SOLID principles.
  • Familiarity with AGILE methodologies and practical experience.
  • Acquaintance with Databricks and RAG application architecture is advantageous.
  • Experience in latency optimization and quantization is preferred.
