Job Title: Lead Data Scientist

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Data Scientist to join our team at esure Group. As a key member of our data science team, you will be responsible for leading the development of data-driven solutions to improve company profitability.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Lead and develop a data science team to deliver value-adding projects.
  2. Foster team growth and prepare members for career advancement.
  3. Analyse company performance metrics to guide and interpret models.
  4. Assist in acquiring vendor data and build business cases.
  5. Design experiments and multivariate testing for AI evaluation.
  6. Assess machine learning solutions for feasibility and operationalize successful prototypes with Data Engineers.
  7. Use statistical techniques to optimize business performance.
  8. Develop and maintain algorithms to improve customer value and services.
  9. Deliver data science projects that drive business benefits and competitive advantage.
  10. Conduct ad-hoc analysis to predict, measure, and interpret business trends.
  11. Mentor data scientists and promote best practices within the analytics community.
  12. Collaborate with DevOps and Data Engineers to deploy ML Models.
  13. Help us to craft the next generation of our products.
Requirements:
  1. 4+ years as a Data Scientist in commercial or R&D environments.
  2. PhD or MSc or equivalent experience in a relevant field (Machine Learning, Computer Science, Statistics).
  3. Experience applying statistical and machine learning models to real-world problems with measurable results.
  4. Strong Python toolkit proficiency for Data Science, with experience in SQL and NoSQL databases.
  5. Project management experience with tight deadlines.
  6. Knowledge of innovative software practices (SCRUM/Agile, microservices, containerization like Docker/Kubernetes).
  7. Experience deploying ML models via APIs (e.g.,
