Job Summary

We are seeking an enthusiastic and innovative Band 5/6 Community Rehab Occupational Therapist to join our multidisciplinary team. This role offers a challenging and rewarding opportunity to work in a community setting, providing assessment and rehabilitation services for individuals with neurological conditions.

About the Team

The Community Rehabilitation Service is a multi-disciplinary therapy team that provides assessment and rehabilitation services in a community setting for individuals with progressive or acquired neurological conditions. We work closely with our colleagues across the Stroke and Neurology pathway, including the Stroke Unit at Meadow Court, Goodmayes, and our team of specialist nurses in PD, MND, and MS.

Main Duties
  • Responsible for the assessment and treatment planning of those referred to the service
  • Takes a role in the leadership of junior staff and support assistants, through supervision, training, and appraisal
  • Involved in the ongoing development of the service, through contribution to policy development, quality improvement initiatives, and research projects
Person Specification

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Degree or Diploma in Occupational Therapy and HCPC registration
  • Experience working as a Band 5 Occupational Therapist (minimum 18 months)
  • Previous experience of working in the UK or a similar health economy
Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this position is £38,890 - £44,503 per annum, depending on experience. The North East London NHS Foundation Trust offers a range of benefits, including a pension scheme, annual leave, and opportunities for professional development.
