We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our team in Ashington, UK. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive nursing care to substance misusers, working closely with clients to identify their physical, psychological, spiritual, and social support needs.
The role involves delivering high standards of nursing care in various settings, promoting the health and well-being of clients while maintaining a safe, caring, and therapeutic environment.
Main Responsibilities:
- Assess client care needs, develop, implement, and evaluate programmes of care.
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to deliver holistic care.
- Participate in risk assessments and management planning.
- Advocate for clients, empowering them to make informed decisions about their care.
- Provide education and guidance on harm reduction strategies and healthy lifestyles.
Requirements:
- Registered Nurse with valid registration via the NMC.
- Demonstrable experience in comprehensive assessment of need, including risk assessments.
- Knowledge of safe storage, handling, and administration of drugs, particularly controlled substances.
- Understanding of the NMC code of conduct and relevant legislation.
- Able to work flexibly in various settings, prioritizing client care and safety.
