Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Wastewater Operator/Trainee to participate in daily operations and maintenance of the Wastewater Treatment Facility at our Abingdon, Virginia location.

Responsibilities
  • Participate in daily operations, laboratory analysis, and maintenance of the Wolf Creek Water Reclamation Facility.
  • Assist in operation of assigned treatment, mechanical, and electrical equipment and other similarly related facility components and equipment.
  • Perform data entry and report generation, including data for preparing the Monthly Operating Report.
  • Work as a team with other facility employees in following established administrative, safety, and operating policies.
  • Required to perform maintenance duties and to utilize the facility maintenance program, Cartegraph.
Requirements
  • Valid Virginia Driver's License required.
  • 3+ years' experience in wastewater treatment facility operation and maintenance; strong mechanical and electrical skills preferred.
Compensation Package
  • Estimated Salary: $60,000 - $80,000 per year (depending on experience).
