As a Local Government Counter Fraud Advisor, you will be responsible for:Conducting counter fraud reviews and assessments to identify risks and areas for improvementDeveloping and implementing strategies to mitigate identified risksCollaborating with colleagues to ensure effective service deliveryProviding expert advice to council staff on fraud prevention and detection methodsEnsuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:Previous experience in counter fraud or a related fieldStrong knowledge of local government and its operationsExcellent communication and report writing skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamGenuine interest in local government and commitment to the Public Sector Fraud Authority Standards
