About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Economic Crime Analyst to join our team at the NHS Counter Fraud Authority. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to make a real difference in the fight against economic crime in the NHS.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for researching and analysing complex information to support crime reduction activities, ensuring that sensitive data is handled appropriately. You will work closely with senior management to determine the most effective way to record, process and disseminate referrals received by the NHSCFA.

Main Duties
  • Apply judgement to referrals to determine the most appropriate manner in which they should be recorded, protectively marked, processed and disseminated.
  • Develop processes for capturing and accurately recording information, following set procedures, to create database records and apply the evaluation process.
  • Regularly interrogate systems to detect and report upon anomalies, discrepancies, and irregularities of data.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Significant experience of countering fraud and corruption within a public or private sector agency in an intelligence/research environment or hold a degree in a relevant subject.
  • Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to analyse complex information using recognised techniques.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to articulate ideas and plans verbally and in writing.
  • A high degree of autonomy, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
