Digital Fraud Prevention Strategist

We are seeking a seasoned Digital Fraud Prevention Strategist to lead our efforts in protecting the UK's digital identity ecosystem. As a key member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in designing and implementing effective counter-fraud measures to ensure the integrity of our digital public services.
This is a high-profile position that requires an experienced counter-fraud professional with a proven track record of setting strategic direction on threat intelligence and counter-fraud. You will be responsible for building capability within a high-performing team, recruiting and training new analysts, and providing enduring advice and support to the digital identity programme.
About the RoleAs the Head of Digital Implementation, you will set strategic direction for the One Login programme to ensure that fraud is reduced due to the design of the system and collaborative work with key stakeholders across HMG. You will also head up and grow the identity counter-fraud team in GDS, working in partnership with key stakeholders to lead and advise on identity misuse and risks requirements.

- Work in partnership with key stakeholders to lead and advise on identity misuse and risks requirements.
We're looking for candidates with evidenced experience of:
- Leadership of an operational counter-fraud function within a comparable critical national infrastructure programme.
- Strong track record of setting strategic direction on identifying and tackling fraud through the design and implementation of a product or service.
- Hands-on experience undertaking and managing oversight for the collection and analysis of open source intelligence, including through the Darkweb.
- Implementing and operating high-volume identity-specific threat intelligence platforms and risk tooling at scale.
- Establishing robust and effective counter-fraud policies and risk registers.
