About the Role

The Cumberland is seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Meetings and Events Sales Executive to join our team. As a Meetings and Events Sales Executive, you will be responsible for promoting our Meeting and Events facilities to prospective clients and acting as the main point of contact for coordinating their events.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain relationships with existing and new clients to drive sales and revenue growth
  • Provide exceptional customer service and ensure that all client needs are met
  • Work closely with the Meetings and Events team to ensure seamless event execution
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and competitor activity to maintain a competitive edge
  • Contribute to the development of sales strategies and tactics to achieve business objectives

What We Look For

  • Proven sales experience in a customer-facing role, preferably in the hospitality or events industry
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues
  • Strong commercial awareness and ability to negotiate and close deals
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines
  • Flexibility to work varied hours, including evenings and weekends, as required
