Hill & Hill, a renowned consultancy firm, is seeking an experienced leader to establish and grow their Building Surveying Department. This dynamic role offers the opportunity to shape service offerings, drive business development, and deliver complex projects across various sectors.

About the Role:

As the Head of Building Surveying, you will be responsible for developing strategic plans, recruiting a team, and establishing operational frameworks that align with the company's overall vision. This role provides autonomy to define the department's direction, including shaping service offerings, driving business development, and ensuring successful project delivery.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Department Leadership: Develop and lead the Building Surveying Department, setting the strategic direction and overseeing all operational activities.
  2. Team Development: Build and manage a high-performing team of surveyors, mentoring junior staff and fostering professional development.
  3. Business Development: Drive the department's growth by establishing strong relationships with new and existing clients, and delivering high-quality consultancy services.
  4. Collaboration: Work closely with Project Managers, Cost Consultants, Interior Designers, and Development Managers to deliver holistic solutions across sectors.
  5. Project Oversight: Oversee and manage building surveying projects from inception through to completion, ensuring adherence to client requirements, budgets, and timelines.
  6. Compliance & Governance: Ensure all surveying activities comply with industry standards, regulations, and quality assurance protocols.

This role requires a Chartered status (MRICS) or equivalent, extensive experience in building surveying, ideally in the luxury consultancy sector. A proven track record of success in business development and client relationship management is essential. The ideal candidate should have excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at senior levels.
