About the Role:

The successful Credit Controller will be responsible for managing the company's credit control function, ensuring that all sales invoices are processed and submitted in a timely manner. This will involve reconciling customer accounts, sending statements, and chasing overdue invoices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process and submit sales invoices in a timely manner
  • Reconcile customer accounts and send statements
  • Chase overdue invoices and communicate with customers
  • Report old outstanding debt to the Credit Team Leader
  • Indicate to the Group Credit Manager if legal action is required to resolve issues
  • Handle customer queries and discrepancies
  • Liaise with different departments within the business
  • Process and manage high volumes of data using Excel skills
  • Keep records of customer accounts, payment terms, and contact details
  • Maintain a database of customer information on Excel spreadsheet and NetSuite system
  • Work closely with the accounts team and perform ad hoc duties

Requirements:

  • Recent experience in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent negotiation skills and professional telephone manner
  • Good spoken and written communication skills and assertiveness
  • Significant numerical knowledge and advanced skills in computer literacy
  • Ability to work well independently or within a team
  • Reliability and approachability with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
