Infrastructure Associate

CPP Investments is a global investment organization that seeks to attract and select high-calibre individuals from top-tier institutions around the world. As an Infrastructure Associate, you will play a key role in making and managing primarily infrastructure investments on a principal basis.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyze investment opportunities, including reviewing research, analyzing and evaluating infrastructure investment opportunities, building complex dynamic financial models, and performing due diligence on opportunities.
  • Recommend investment opportunities to investment committees, including presenting investment recommendations and assisting in the execution of investments.
  • Monitor ongoing financial and operational performance of infrastructure investments, identify and help implement performance improvement initiatives, and assist in performing valuation reviews.
  • Build and leverage relationships with portfolio company management teams, participate in weekly departmental meetings, and share knowledge by coordinating and entering information into knowledge management databases.
Requirements:
  • Commensurate experience in investment banking or private equity with an emphasis on infrastructure desirable.
  • A minimum of an undergraduate degree and a track record of academic achievement.
  • Strong research, financial modelling, analytical and valuation skills.
  • Professionalism and integrity.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and business relationship skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
  • Flexibility, adaptability and initiative.
  • Good judgement.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work well under pressure.
  • Team player who enjoys a high-performance culture.
  • Willingness to travel in a future environment where it is safe to do so.
