Job Overview

Tarmac is seeking a highly skilled Environmental Permitting Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Land & Natural Resources department, you will be responsible for securing new environmental permits and ensuring compliance with regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Compile, submit, and manage permit applications to relevant regulators, ensuring timely and accurate submissions.
  • Identify changes to regulations and provide expert advice on actions required to maintain compliance.
  • Provide technical guidance on permit conditions and associated environmental legislation, including liaison with regulators and legal advisors.
  • Ensure compliance with CRH, Tarmac, and industry reporting requirements.

Requirements

  • Strong technical background with experience in writing and managing permit applications.
  • Expert knowledge of environmental legislation, guidance, and practices.
  • Extensive experience in environmental legislation compliance, including regulatory processes.
  • Knowledge of environmental management systems and experience working with regulatory authorities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with ability to influence stakeholders.
