We are seeking an experienced Environmental Sustainability Specialist to join our team at Samworth Brothers. As a key member of our Environmental Team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the company's environmental policies and procedures are implemented effectively across all sites.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement environmental strategies, compliance processes, and procedures in collaboration with the Senior SHE Manager and relevant functions.
- Facilitate the development and implementation of the Bradgate Environmental Management System (EMS) to support certification to ISO 14001.
- Work with the site SHE manager to promote a positive environmental culture through education, training, and coaching to improve performance.
- Coordinate and support management of stakeholder relationships, including the Environment Agency, customers, local community, and Group, to ensure no major non-conformance issues.
- Identify performance improvement opportunities for the SHE Manager/Site Management teams to deliver projects that achieve targets and improve risk rating/cost efficiency.
- Previous environmental experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Up-to-date knowledge of environmental legislation.
- Experience in report writing.
- Understanding/awareness of basic business financial reporting/interpretation.
