Unite Students is a progressive FTSE100 company and the leading provider of purpose-built student accommodation in the UK. We are seeking a talented leader with great potential to join our Customer Operations team as a Designate General Manager.

About the Role

As a Designate General Manager, you will report to the Regional General Manager and be accountable for the execution of national and regional strategies within London. You may be assigned a cluster of properties to support other General Managers in areas like Facilities, Housekeeping, and Student Experience.

Your Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver improved operational, safety, sales, and revenue performance, increase overall profitability, and drive improvements across the end-to-end customer and employee experience.
  • Identify, understand, and balance short-term and operational demands with the delivery of longer-term and strategic priorities for your cluster of properties.
  • Build and lead high-performing, engaged, and motivated teams with a sense of belonging and community.
  • Build a customer-focused, safe, secure, and inclusive culture for all.
  • Advocate, communicate, and deliver changes in working practices that support local and organisational success.
  • Understand and absorb information from a range of different sources, and use it to make effective business decisions.
  • Understand root causes, analyse, and solve complex business issues.
  • Adapt your style to inspire, engage, and motivate others in varying situations.
  • Build effective and collaborative relationships at all organisational levels.
  • Have flexibility in location as you may work across a selection of our London properties.
