Patient Administration Officer/Medical Secretary

The Role:
- Manage administrative tasks, ensuring seamless communication and coordination between patients, consultants, and healthcare staff.
- Provide comprehensive secretarial support, including scheduling appointments, handling correspondence, and maintaining accurate records.
- Liaise with patients, carers, and healthcare professionals to ensure timely and effective care.
- Collaborate with the International Patients team to provide exceptional support to patients from around the world.
- Work closely with consultants, secretaries, and other healthcare staff to ensure accurate and timely communication.
- Ensure all necessary documentation is completed and maintained, including clinic letters, follow-up documentation, and patient records.
- Act as a central point of contact for all new referrals, clinic appointments, and radiotherapy referrals.
- Process and manage radiotherapy referrals, ensuring timely and accurate communication with patients and healthcare staff.
- Coordinate outside medical records, imaging, and lab results to ensure providers receive all necessary information.
- Direct incoming calls and participate in reception duties, providing exceptional customer service and support.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, carers, and healthcare staff to ensure seamless care and communication.

- Experience in managing diaries and schedules, with a focus on prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Experience working in a healthcare setting, with a focus on cancer care and patient administration.
