Position: Assistant Kitchen Manager - Banqueting

A unique opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Kitchen Manager at 2M Employment Solutions to lead and coordinate the Banqueting operations within our culinary team. Our establishment has recently achieved a prestigious 4-star rating, featuring 113 elegantly appointed rooms and a robust occupancy rate. We offer 9 versatile Conference and Banqueting spaces capable of accommodating between 10 to 180 guests, alongside The Garden Restaurant, two vibrant bars, and beautifully landscaped outdoor areas.

Recognized as a premier venue for Weddings and Family Celebrations, our facility enjoys a strong local patronage for various dining experiences including Lunch, Sunday Lunch, Afternoon Tea, and Dinner, in addition to hosting numerous events such as monthly Tribute Nights.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Head Chef in managing daily operations of the banqueting kitchen.
  • Demonstrate culinary expertise by actively participating in food preparation while mentoring and guiding the kitchen brigade.
  • Strive to enhance guest and employee satisfaction while adhering to the established operating budget.
  • Oversee all kitchen areas, with a focus on banqueting and events, ensuring a consistently high-quality culinary output.
  • Support the development and training of kitchen staff to uphold food quality standards.
  • Ensure compliance with sanitation and food safety regulations at all times.

Candidate Profile:

  • The ideal candidate will possess prior experience in a 4-star hotel environment, particularly in banqueting.
  • Knowledge of hygiene, health and safety standards, and allergen management is essential.
  • A passion for high-quality cuisine and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment is crucial.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a Junior Sous Chef or Senior Chef de Partie role within a similar hotel setting is required.
  • This position offers an excellent opportunity for a motivated chef seeking a dynamic and rewarding role.

Compensation: A competitive salary of up to £40,000, complemented by a monthly gratuity and a 5% employer pension contribution, is available for the right candidate.
