Data Quality and Analytics Lead

About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Data Quality and Analytics Manager to join our team at Dartford and Gravesham NHS Trust. As a key member of our analytics team, you will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of data quality and analytics initiatives that drive business insights and inform decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead Data Quality and Analytics Initiatives: Develop and implement data quality and analytics initiatives that drive business insights and inform decision-making.
- Manage Data Sources and Lineage: Ensure that data sources are understood and identify the best data source to support the development of insights, while clearly identifying data lineage and associated data quality.
- Guide Advanced Analytics: Guide pieces of advanced analytics in response to specific requests, producing high-level reports that clearly communicate findings to a non-expert audience.
- Explain Data Patterns: Explain data patterns and their implications on interpretation to promote the use of data-driven decision making.
- Advise on Analytical Techniques: Advise and support the team on the most appropriate analytical techniques, including advanced statistical analysis, and create a pool of expertise that can be harnessed to problem solve and create advanced analysis.
- Lead BI Report Review: Lead a review of BI reports, seeking to rationalise, amalgamate and automate where possible, recording the efficiencies delivered in terms of resource hours.
- Support Bespoke Reporting: Support a process for bespoke/adhoc reporting that ensures accurate extraction and processing of data to provide comprehensive and timely reports.
- Lead PowerBi Dashboard Development: Lead the programme of PowerBi dashboards for constitutional standards and operational performance management, ensuring full governance documentation and review processes in place.
- Create Oversight Process: Create a single oversight process that brings together all mandatory reporting requirements, supported standardised documentation and training materials, quality control checks and a formal scheme of delegated authority.
- Prioritise Resources: Prioritise resources and workloads across the analytics team to ensure Trust priorities and deadlines are met.
- Ensure Robust Documentation: Ensure robust documentation to support all Trust statutory reporting, including associated training materials, with clearly identified critical data elements that supports the accuracy of our highest levels of reporting.
- Deploy Analytical Analysis: Deploy analytical analysis and statistical evaluation of data that supports operational decision-making, the Trust performance management framework and service improvement and transformation initiatives.
- Provide Lead for Internal Audit: Provide the lead within BI for internal audit programmes, ensuring support for the analytics team in terms of responding to the information requests, interpreting and clarifying the findings and implementing any actions identified.
- Engage with Analytics Community: Engage with the wider analytics and data quality community, building a network of peers across the ICB and South East region.
