Job Opportunity: Consultant Psychiatrist
About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to join our team at Jupiter Recruitment. As a Consultant Psychiatrist, you will be responsible for providing clinical leadership and expertise in the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of patients with mental health disorders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clinical Leadership: Take clinical responsibility for patients, including multidisciplinary ward rounds, risk reviews, strategic reviews, and the development of a therapeutic milieu.
- Responsible Clinician: Fulfill the role of Responsible Clinician to patients detained under the Mental Health Act.
- Service Development: Contribute to management meetings and clinical governance meetings for the services provided at the hospital, and contribute to the development of service strategy.
- Training and Supervision: Contribute to in-house training programmes within the services and offer supervision to other members of the multi-disciplinary team, particularly junior medical staff.
- Expertise and Knowledge: Have essential understanding of current developments in psychiatry and other aspects of mental health.
- Business Acumen: Have substantial knowledge of change management, relevant legislation, contemporary issues in mental health, knowledge of, and experience in purchaser/provider contractual issues.
