About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Consultant Psychiatrist to join our team at Leeds and York Partnership NHS Foundation Trust. As an Addictions Consultant Psychiatrist, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clinics at Forward Leeds, working jointly with colleagues from other disciplines and relevant agencies to deliver comprehensive patient care and treatment.
  • Attend Multidisciplinary Team (MDT) meetings to discuss referrals and allocate patients.
  • Contribute to senior leadership of the service, working closely with the Clinical Lead to provide clinical leadership and service development.
  • Participate in clinical governance activities, including clinical audit and risk management, to continuously improve the quality of care provided for service users.
  • Contribute to team training and the education of undergraduates or junior medical staff attached to the team.
Requirements
  • MBChB and MRCPsych endorsement in addictions desirable, CCT in General Adult psychiatry.
  • Experience in General Adult and addictions psychiatry.
  • Evidence of good communication skills and experience in Quality Improvement/Service Development.
