Job ResponsibilitiesThe primary role of the post holder is to provide clinics at Forward Leeds, alongside attendance at the MDT, team supervision, and contributing to senior leadership of the service. You will work jointly with colleagues from other disciplines and all relevant agencies to provide a comprehensive approach to patient care and treatment.
Key Responsibilities- Provide assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for patients with drug or alcohol use disorders
- Manage detoxification, mental health assessments, and post-detox assessments
- Work closely with the Clinical Lead to provide clinical leadership and service development
- Participate in clinical governance activities, including clinical audit and risk management
- Contribute to team training and the education of junior medical staff
We are looking for a Consultant Psychiatrist with:
- MBChB MRCPsych endorsement in addictions desirable CCT in GA psychiatry
- Experience in GA and addictions psychiatry
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team
