About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join the team at Queen Alexandra Charity as a special education teacher for young adults. We are looking for a highly motivated and dedicated individual to deliver high-quality education and support to our students with learning disabilities.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in special education and a passion for making a positive impact on the lives of our students. You will be responsible for developing and delivering lesson plans, evaluating student progress, and collaborating with colleagues to ensure seamless student support.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and deliver engaging English language lessons for students with learning disabilities
  • Conduct regular assessments to monitor student progress and adjust instruction accordingly
  • Provide individualized support and accommodations to meet student needs
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate with parents/guardians as needed
  • Participate in staff meetings and contribute to curriculum development

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Special Education, or a related field
  • Relevant teaching experience, preferably in special education
  • Strong understanding of differentiated instruction and student-centered learning
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
