Nurse Seekers is recruiting a theatre nurse to join their client's specialist eye surgery team in Glasgow.
This is a fantastic opportunity to develop your skills and expertise in a dynamic theatre environment.
Responsibilities include:
- Providing high-quality patient care in the theatre setting.
- Assisting in surgical procedures while maintaining a safe, sterile environment.
- Preparing and managing surgical instruments and equipment.
- Monitoring patients throughout their procedures.
- Collaborating effectively with the surgical team for efficient patient care.
- Following strict infection prevention and control protocols.
- Accurately documenting patient information while maintaining confidentiality.
Your Key Skills
We're looking for professionals with:
- Previous experience as a Theatre Practitioner or in a similar role (preferred).
- Experience in ophthalmology (a strong advantage).
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and critical care principles.
- Proven ability to analyse situations and make critical decisions under pressure.
- Expertise in maintaining a sterile environment and infection prevention practices.
- Basic Life Support certification (essential).
