About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Teaching Assistant to join our team at The Gorse Academies Trust. As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the professional work of teachers and contributing to the academic success of our students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, prepare, and deliver learning activities for individuals, groups, or short-term whole classes, under the supervision of teachers.
  • Monitor pupils' progress, assess, record, and report on their achievement, progress, and development.
  • Manage and develop a specialist area within the academy, including the allocation and monitoring of work, appraisal, and training of Teaching Assistants.
Requirements
  • Higher Level Teaching Assistant status or working towards this (Level 4).
  • Working knowledge and experience of implementing national/foundation stage curriculum and other relevant learning programmes/strategies.
  • Previous experience of working with children of the relevant age in a learning context.
