Job Title: Teaching Assistant

Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our team in Yorkshire and the Humber, West Yorkshire, Leeds.

Job Type:

This is a temporary, full-time position, with the possibility of becoming permanent in the future.

Salary:

£90 - £100 Per day, inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.

Job Duties:
  • Provide individualized support to students in a classroom setting, helping them to develop their academic and social skills.
  • Assist teachers in implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and supporting students with special educational needs or disabilities.
  • Work closely with teachers to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Required Qualifications:
  • Minimum of GCSEs in English and Maths.
  • Relevant experience working with children or young people, with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Education:

Level 2 or equivalent qualifications in Teaching Assistance or a related field.

Experience:

Previous experience in a similar role within an educational setting is highly desirable.

Knowledge and Skills:
  • Understanding of special educational needs and disabilities, with the ability to adapt teaching methods to suit individual student needs.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or higher.
  • Additional training in safeguarding and child protection.
Working Conditions:

This role involves working in a classroom environment with students of varying abilities and needs. The position is temporary, but there may be opportunities for permanent employment in the future.
