Radiology Department Clinical Lead

Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced breast radiologist consultant to join our team at Mid Cheshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in breast imaging and be able to demonstrate their ability to lead and manage a team of healthcare professionals.
About the Job:
- The role involves leading the breast imaging service, which includes managing staff, developing clinical pathways, and contributing to departmental decision-making.
- The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care and participating in educational activities, such as teaching junior doctors and medical students.
- The role requires strong leadership and communication skills, as well as the ability to work effectively within a team environment.
- The successful candidate will also be expected to contribute to research and quality improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Leading the breast imaging service, including managing staff and developing clinical pathways
- Contributing to departmental decision-making and ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care
- Participating in educational activities, such as teaching junior doctors and medical students
- Contribution to research and quality improvement initiatives
Skills and Qualifications:
- FRCR or equivalent qualification
- Registration with the GMC and possession of a valid licence to practice
- Proven experience in breast imaging, including screening and diagnostic procedures
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Able to work effectively within a team environment
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines
Salary and Benefits:
- A competitive salary of £120,000 - £140,000 per annum
