Role Overview
We are seeking a part-time Consultant Psychiatrist to join our multidisciplinary team at the NHS, focusing on delivering high-quality patient care and improving the lives of individuals with mental ill health.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive psychiatric services to patients, adhering to best practices and contributing to the team's goal of enhancing lives free from stigma and discrimination.
  • Work collaboratively with healthcare professionals in a community setting, utilizing a psychological trauma-informed approach.
  • Offer a supportive environment, encompassing excellent relocation assistance, on-site parking, and various wellbeing benefits.
  • Participate in weekly educational sessions, access leadership development opportunities within the NHS, and receive personalized coaching and mentoring.

Requirements
  • Full registration with the General Medical Council.
  • Approved Clinician status upon commencing the role.
  • Inclusion on the Specialist Register or completion of Certificate of Completion of Training in General Adult Psychiatry (or within six months of completing CCT at the time of interview) or equivalent qualification.
  • Approval under section 12(2) of the Mental Health Act 1983.

Experience and Skills
  • Prior experience working in a Community Mental Health Team.
  • Extensive experience in Homeless Health and a deep understanding of complex trauma and multiple co-morbidities in the homeless population.
  • Practical experience in psychiatric practice across various settings, especially community environments.
  • Audit experience and familiarity with clinical governance principles.
  • Teaching experience with undergraduates and postgraduates.

Salary Range

An estimated annual salary of £120,000 - £140,000 depending on qualifications and experience, inclusive of relocation assistance and benefits package.
