Nurturing Teaching Assistant for SEMH Students

**Job Description:**
We are seeking an experienced teaching assistant to join our partner school, which provides a nurture-based education and provision approach for children aged 4-16. The successful candidate will work as part of a team to develop and deliver innovative provisions for children who are not succeeding in mainstream education.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience working with children with SEMH needs and be committed to fulfilling the needs of pupils experiencing behavioural, emotional, or learning difficulties. They will also be able to utilize therapeutically based teaching strategies combined with a caring and understanding approach to classroom and behaviour management.
**About the School:**
Our partner school is part of an Ofsted 'outstanding' multi-academy trust, providing a nurturing educational experience for children identified as having social, emotional, and mental health needs.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Work collaboratively with the teaching team to develop and implement individualised learning plans for students with SEMH needs.
- Provide one-to-one support to students with SEMH needs, focusing on their academic and personal development.
- Assist the teacher in managing classroom behaviour and maintaining a positive learning environment.
**Requirements:**
- Previous experience working with children with SEMH needs.
- Commitment to upholding the values of the school and adhering to its policies and procedures.
- Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, parents, and carers.
**What We Offer:**
- A competitive salary of £80,000 - £90,000 per annum.
