Job Summary
We're seeking a Support Worker to join our team in Truro
Are you passionate about making a difference in people's lives? We support individuals living in their own homes in the Truro area, and we're looking for someone to join our team.
As a Support Worker, you'll have the flexibility to choose your shifts and work at times that suit you. You could work during the day, evenings, or weekends, and we'll provide you with full training to help you succeed in your role.
Experience is not essential, but you'll need to be willing to learn, flexible, and have a can-do attitude. You'll be working with people who have different needs and values, and you'll need to be able to communicate effectively and professionally.
Some of your responsibilities will include developing daily living skills, supporting individuals to access their communities, and contributing to their care plans. You'll also need to maintain their health needs and communicate effectively with their family members and external professionals.
Benefits:
- Sleep-ins paid at £60 extra (basic salary £12.27 p/h)
- Full training to gain the nationally recognised Care Certificate
- Time to complete training is paid
- We cover the cost of DBS checks
- Rota's are planned in advance
- Successfully 'recommend a friend' to join us and you'll receive a thank-you payment
Your responsibilities:
- To develop daily living skills
- Support the people we support to access their communities for socialisation, employment, training or friendships
- To contribute to, develop and implement the individuals care plans
- To communicate effectively and professionally with people we support, their family members, and external professionals
- Maintain the health needs of the individuals we support
