About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Special Education Support Worker to join our team at Long-term Teachers Ltd. As a Behavioural Support Specialist, you will work with pupils who have difficulty thriving in mainstream secondary and special schools or are returning from out of County placements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-to-one support and bespoke timetables following thematic learning experiences
  • Design and deliver personalised learning in and out of the classroom to engage students, build resilience, and provide a foundation for rapid academic progress
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement individualised education plans
  • Contribute to a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes social, emotional, and academic growth

Requirements:

  • Current DBS on the update service or willingness to take one
  • Confidence working within small groups and 1:1/2:1 settings
  • Passion for working with children and young people in SEN settings
  • Relevant experience working with children or people with special educational needs
  • Full UK driving license
  • Minimum of Level 2 qualification or equivalent
