About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Forensic Nurse or Paramedic to join our team at Mountain Healthcare. As a Forensic Custody Healthcare Professional, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to detainees in our custody suites.

With a focus on patient-centered care, you will work closely with the police and other healthcare professionals to deliver a range of services, including forensic sampling, substance misuse therapies, and acute disease management.

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and resilient individual to develop their skills and experience in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality care to detainees in our custody suites
  • Conduct forensic sampling, including road traffic offence bloods
  • Signpost and conduct referrals for vulnerable patients
  • Deliver substance misuse therapies and promote good personal healthcare
  • Assess and care for detainees and staff in custody suites
  • Work with Liaison and Diversion to identify mental health needs
Requirements
  • Qualified Registered Nurse or Paramedic
  • Minimum of 3 years' post-qualification experience
  • Acute medical healthcare experience

Previous experience in A&E, walk-in centres, substance misuse, community nursing, police custody, or prison settings would be beneficial.
