About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Forensic Nurse or Paramedic to join our team at Mountain Healthcare. As a Forensic Custody Healthcare Professional, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to detainees in our custody suites.

With a focus on patient-centered care, you will work closely with the police and other healthcare professionals to deliver holistic and trauma-informed care. Your expertise will be essential in assessing and managing the medical needs of detainees, as well as providing support and guidance to those struggling with substance misuse or other vulnerabilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide medical care and support to detainees in custody suites
  • Assess and manage medical needs, including acute disease management and substance misuse therapies
  • Work closely with the police and other healthcare professionals to deliver holistic and trauma-informed care
  • Support detainees with vulnerabilities and signpost them to relevant services
  • Collect forensic samples and assist with police investigations
Requirements
  • Qualified Registered Nurse or Paramedic with a minimum of 3 years' post-qualification experience
  • Acute medical healthcare experience
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
