As a Forensic Custody Healthcare Professional, you will work closely with the police to provide high-quality care to detainees and their needs, which can vary from drug/alcohol dependency to acute medical episodes.

Our team is committed to providing holistic and trauma-informed care that improves the immediate and long-term health outcomes of patients across the criminal justice system.

Key Responsibilities:

* Forensic sampling (including road traffic offence bloods)
* Signposting and conducting referrals; offering support for vulnerabilities and supporting patients to break patterns of re-offending
* Delivering substance misuse therapies
* Assessment & care of detainees and staff in custody suites
* Acute disease management
* Promoting good personal healthcare
* Working with Liaison and Diversion to identify any mental health needs

Requirements:

* Qualified Registered Nurse or Paramedic
* A minimum of 3 years' post qualification experience
* Acute medical healthcare experience
