We are Freedom Leisure, a not-for-profit leisure trust dedicated to supporting our local communities and hard-to-reach groups. Our mission is to provide fun and welcoming sessions that encourage people to become more active, contributing to improved lives.
This role offers a unique opportunity for a Duty Manager to join our Centre Management Team on a part-time basis. As an integral part of the site team, you will support the delivery of a wide range of services and activities that have a positive impact in our local communities.
Your work will be varied and busy, with no two days being the same. You will have a good level of autonomy and we welcome your ideas and suggestions. This role involves managing a motivated staff team, organizing events and activities, helping customers, making plans for the centre, and contributing to genuinely improving people's lives through leisure.
The Role Requirements
- NPLQ qualification (training can be provided)
- To actively manage and develop a team of operational staff
- To be responsible for the day-to-day duty management and running of the leisure centre to the highest standard
- To contribute to and understand the business performance of the centre
- To be a proactive member of the leisure centre team
- A passion for the industry demonstrated through continuous professional development
- Experience of problem-solving, customer service, and staff management
- Experience working in a Duty Management or similar role
- To be able to work flexibly with a level of autonomy and decision-making confidence
- Able to think on your feet and respond to variable demands

About the Salary
The salary for this role is up to £13,091 per annum, offering a competitive rate for a part-time position.
