About the Opportunity:
Magna International Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced HR professional to join its team in ChangZhou. As an HR Manager, you will play a critical role in shaping the company's workforce and contributing to its continued growth and success.
Responsibilities:- Develop and Implement HR Strategies: Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and implement HR strategies that align with the company's overall business objectives. Identify key areas for improvement and develop plans to address them.
- Lead Talent Acquisition Efforts: Oversee the recruitment process, including job postings, screening, interviewing, and recommending new hires. Develop job descriptions and post vacancies to attract top talent.
- Provide Employee Support: Offer guidance and support to employees on various HR-related matters, ensuring a positive and inclusive work environment. Interpret and administer HR policies and procedures, ensuring employees understand and comply with these guidelines.
- Ensure Compliance and Governance: Maintain awareness of labor laws and regulations, ensuring compliance and adherence to established policies and procedures.
- Drive Performance and Productivity: Develop and implement performance management systems, providing feedback and coaching to employees. Analyze performance data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Implement Training Programs: Identify training needs and develop programs to enhance employee skills and performance. Track the effectiveness of training programs and make adjustments as needed.
- Administer Benefits and Compensation: Manage the company's compensation and benefits programs, ensuring they are competitive, compliant with legal requirements, and effectively support employee retention and satisfaction.
- Communicate with Stakeholders: Prepare and present HR-related information for operations and management review on a monthly basis. Foster open communication with employees, managers, and senior leadership.
- Comply with Company Policies: Adhere to Magna's Code of Conduct and Ethics and related compliance policies.
- Additional Duties: Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by direct manager.
- A Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. CHRP designation is an asset.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in a Human Resources role, preferably in the manufacturing or automotive industry. Proven experience in HR management and a thorough understanding of HR policies and procedures.
- Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills. High self-motivation and flexibility. Ability to work independently and under limited daily supervision. Capable of working under pressure with tight deadlines and flexible hours to meet both internal and external customer requirements.
- Familiarity with PeopleSoft HRIS is an asset. Working knowledge of QS-9000 / TS16949 and ISO14001 procedures. Sound knowledge of Provincial legislation including ESA, WSIB, OHSA, OHRC, etc.
Estimated Salary Range: $125,000 - $160,000 per annum
