Job Title: MEP Estimator

Job Type: Permanent

Salary: £40,000 - £50,000

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced MEP Estimator to join our client's team. The successful candidate will be responsible for quantifying MEP projects financially to ensure profitability and success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Reporting: Provide accurate reporting of costs, projections, contingency, liabilities, sales, and margins.
  • Cash Flow Management: Take responsibility for cash flow forecasting, submission, and receipt of payments.
  • Estimating and Cost Planning: Manage, estimate, and cost plan activities, including presenting the final cost plan and variations.
  • Contract Negotiation: Ensure that final accounts are negotiated and agreed.
  • Contractual Frameworks: Handle contractual frameworks and standard form of contract.
  • Cost Management: Identify and act upon opportunities to improve cost management procedures, templates, products, and services provided to clients.
  • Internal Systems: Identify and act upon ways to improve internal systems and processes.
  • MEP Procurement: Responsible for MEP procurement and package costs.
  • Commercial and Contractual Control: Ensure commercial and contractual control, compliance, and coordination of the project.
  • Risk Management: Review and interpret contract terms and conditions, identifying and mitigating risks and enhancing opportunities.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Education: Degree or equivalent in Quantity Surveying.
  • Experience: JCT / NEC experience, M&E experience, previous experience of M&E/Building Services projects.
  • Skills: Excellent written and verbal skills, precise and articulate, team player, excellent IT skills.
