**Job Summary**:
This is an opportunity to join a national Smoke Vent Control Contracting and MEP Engineering Consultancy business in the construction industry working in the residential, care, offices retail sectors.

An MEP estimator is required to quantify MEP projects financially to help to ensure profitability success.

**What You'll Do**:

- Responsible for MEP Procurement and package costs.
- You will need to ensure commercial & contractual control, compliance, and coordination of the project.
- Review and interpret contract terms and conditions, identifying and mitigating risks and enhancing opportunities.
- Provide accurate reporting of costs, projections, contingency, liabilities, sales, and margins.
- Take responsibility for the cash flow forecasting, submission, and receipt of payments.
- Managing, estimating and cost planning activities to include taking ownership of and presenting the final cost plan & variations.
- Ensuring that final accounts are negotiated and agreed.
- Handling of contractual frameworks and standard form of contract.
- Identifying and acting upon opportunities to improve cost management procedures, templates, products and hence improve the services provided to the clients.
- Identifying and acting upon ways to improve internal systems and processes.
- Assist in any dispute resolution process.
- From time to time require professional training to gain qualifications required of the job.
- Maintain professional working relationships with clients.
- Attend meetings and keep on top of communications with clients and colleagues.
- Communicate and if necessary, escalate any problems to manager when problems arise on projects so they can be resolved quickly.

**Qualifications and Experience**
- Degree or equivalent in Quantity Surveying.
- JCT / NEC experience.
- M&E experience.
- Previous experience of M&E/Building Services projects
- Previous employment as a M&E QS, Quantity Surveyor, Project Surveyor, QS, Commercial Manager or similar.

**Salary**: £25,000.00-£38,000.00 per year
