Job Title: Children's Residential Team Leader

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Children's Residential Team Leader to join our team at Exceptional Care. As a key member of our residential team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional care and support to young people with complex needs.

About the Role:

As a Children's Residential Team Leader, you will be the lead practitioner on shift, mentoring and supporting new team members, reporting to Higher Management, conducting supervisions and updating on progress or difficulties in relation to staff or young people and to advise if management intervention is required.

You will be responsible for ensuring all medical needs are met and supporting the young person to advocate his/her own needs and wishes. You will provide a high standard of care and support, in a professional manner, to vulnerable young people, with challenging behaviour and emotional behavioural difficulties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Manager and Deputies in ensuring that each young person has their needs met through effective assessment and care planning.
  • Review and monitor care plans/contribute to review reports as directed.
  • Support and participate in young people's social, educational / recreational activities in line with care plans, trips out and holidays.
  • Liaise with other agencies/professionals as necessary in conjunction with Managers.
  • Record information about young people and ensure communication with staff members if effective.

Requirements:

  • NVQ Level 3 or 4 Children and Young Peoples Workforce or equivalent
  • 2 years' experience supporting young people in a children's residential setting
